Tips and practical info

Bogotá lies in one of the three ranges of the Andes Mountains, 2,640 m (8,200 ft) above sea level. It is close to the equator, so there are no seasons; and the climate is cool year round.

The average temperature is 10°C (57°F) by day, and 10°C (50°F) by night.

Visas y documents

Citizens of more than 85 countries do not need visas to come to Colombia as tourists. This is a major advantage when organizing any kind of international event.

If you are a national of one of the countries listed in the list given in Decreto 5707 de 2008, and you are attending an event Colombia, you will not need a visa to stay for up to 90 days from the day you arrive.

Power Supply

Electricity in Bogota is at 110V/60Hz. Most wall sockets take Type-B 3-pin plugs, compatible with Type-A flat 2-pin American-style plugs.
