Our 3 key pillars for biosecure events

As an industry, we have a great opportunity to contribute more than ever to our economies — revitalizing multiple sectors through events that inspire confidence, foster business, and connect people.
That’s why at Ágora Bogotá, we consider biosecurity a fundamental pillar that allows us to open our doors responsibly.

Since mid-2020, we have made adjustments to our facilities that have enabled us to earn certifications such as Safe Guard from Bureau Veritas and Check-In Certified from Colombia’s Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Tourism. These distinctions guarantee our visitors a space that meets the highest biosecurity standards.

Today, we want to share with you 3 keys that make our safe events possible:

Guaranteed physical distancing: we updated the capacity of all our halls, terraces, and lobbies to ensure proper distancing, complemented by clear signage that guides movement within the Convention Center and prevents crowding.

Hygiene stations throughout the venue: we installed 43 hand sanitizing stations, 20 portable sinks, and have 100 fixed sinks, encouraging self-care among all visitors.

Natural ventilation: our innovative louver system allows clean air to circulate constantly without the need for air conditioning, helping prevent the recirculation of bacteria.

“Our protocols are effective because they were designed based on our knowledge of the venue and how events are developed within it. This allowed us to define entrances, capacities, circulation, signage, and disinfection points,” explains Juan Daniel García, Head of Infrastructure and Operations at Ágora Bogotá.
